History

May Cameron Stewart was born in Rolling River, Manitoba in 1889. She was the fourth of ten children of Duncan and Sarah Cameron. In 1907, she began her teaching career and taught throughout the Canadian West. In 1936, while teaching in London, England, Cameron married Ian Robert Hillier Stewart. The couple resided in London for the remainder of their lives and had no children. May Cameron Stewart died in London in 1982.
