History
The Franco-Manitoban Society/Société franco-manitobaine (SFM) was established in 1968. Committed to the defence of Franco-Manitoban community it has its roots in the Association de l'ducation des Canadiens-francais du Manitoba, which was organized in 1916. The SFM is concerned with the demands and the legal controversies surrounding the recognition of the Francophone community's linguistic rights.
