Biographical history

Marvin Brodsky attended City College of New York and received his B.A. in 1954. He conducted research at the Connecticut Valley Hospital from 1961-1963 and went on to complete his Ph.D. at the University of Texas in 1964. He taught at the University of Nebraska from 1963-1968. He came to the University of Manitoba in 1968. He is now a Senior Scholar in the Department of Psychology. Dr. Brodsky is currently investigating resiliency in adults and serves on the management committee of the Canadian Prostate Cancer Network.

Custodial history

The fonds was donated to University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections by Dr. Brodsky in 2004.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of course materials (including outlines, tests, lecture notes and required readings) from Dr. Brodsky's courses at the University of Manitoba. Included also are research materials, articles he had written and published, and a small amount of correspondence.
