Biographical history

Jill Wade was born in 1942 and raised in St. Boniface, Manitoba. She taught British Columbia history in the university program at the Open Learning Agency in Burnaby and published Houses For All: The Struggle for Social Housing in Vancouver, 1919-1950 (UBC Press, 1994).

Custodial history

The 1979 accession was donated to the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections by Jill Wade via Bob Lincoln in 1979.

Scope and content

The 1979 accession consists of drafts and the final copy of a paper titled "Manitoba Architecture to 1940, a Bibliography." It was compiled by Jill Wade for the University of Manitoba Libraries.

The 2005 accession consists of copies of textual material by and about the architect Arthur Erickson, including his letters home during trips through Europe in the 1950s and 1960s.
