Biographical history

Jenny O’Hara Pincock was born Jenny Helena Florence O’Hara at Madoc, Ontario in 1890 and is noted for two publications: “Trails of Truth” in 1930, which contains descriptions of Spiritualist séances held in a home circle in St. Catharines, Ontario from 1928-1929, and “Hidden Springs: A Narrative Poem of Old Upper Canada and Other Poems” in 1950, which was published posthumously and contains a forward by the prominent Canadian poet Dr. E.J. Pratt who was a friend of Pincock’s husband, Robert Newton Pincock. Pincock died in 1948.

Custodial history

The fonds was donated to the Archives by the Survival Research Institute of Canada in 2011 with Walter Meyer zu Erpen, the institute's President, acting as the transferring agent.

Scope and content

The collection was arranged in part by the transferring agent according to specifications he provided. The fonds consists of two of O’Hara Pincock’s books, “Hidden Springs” and “Trials of Truth”, biographical information created by Walter Meyer zu Erpen of the Survival Research Institute of Canada and several issues of the journal “Progression”, which O’Hara Pincock edited.
