The fonds was donated to University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections by Harvey and Bessie Jellis in 1997.

The fonds consists of farm records, legal documents, geneaological information, diaries, photographs, and memorabilia pertaining to the Jellis family farm. The material contains a variety of land deeds and titles, oil leases and indentures, grain Permit Books, bills and receipts for farm equipment, and diary entries relating to the Jellis's agricultural operation which complements the repository's other holdings and will interest anyone involved in agricultural research, particularly in Southwest Manitoba. Six letters between an American and Canadian Jellis cousin during World War I are of particular interest.
