The fonds is compiled into two series; whenever possible the material is arranged chronologically. The first series is comprised of trial backgrounds created for the animated shorts “The Big Snit” (1985) and “Getting Started” (1979). The second series contains two film reels: the animated short “John Law and the Mississippi Bubble” [9 min. 40 sec.] released in 1978, and the animated short “The Big Snit” [10 min. 41 sec.] released in 1985.

This fonds consists of records related mainly to the academic research and writings of Jeffrey Cook. Records include correspondence, newspaper clippings, articles, research notes and draft writings. Areas of research include, Hungarian and Eastern European organic architecture (including research on Imre Makovecz), and research on Frank Lloyd Wright and the FLW School of Architecture. Also included is a set of The Brochure Series of Architectural Illustration from 1899-1901 and a facsimile edition of William Blake’s Songs of Innocence. Rare book lists and purchase receipts are also included.

The fonds consists of three series covering Davis' professional life. The first series is Correspondence. This includes correspondence with colleagues and publishers regarding research and publication. The correspondence spans the years 1983 to 1994, with the predominant years being 1992 to 1994.

The second series covers Davis' Literary Career. The series is broken down into the subseries of research and publications. There is research on several of Davis' projects, including Sir Frank Brangwyn; photoengraving and Frederick Brigden; Simcoe County; Manitoba Artists; and Mary Riter Hamilton. The publications subseries is divided onto to sections, articles and typescripts. IN the articles section there are some reviews Davis wrote as well as articles on the following subjects: prairie women as seen through The Grain Growers Guide 1908-1928; women and technology on the prairies 1910-1940; Mary Barrett Speechly; landscape in Canadian popular illustration before 1920; and the Grand Western Canadian Screen Shop. Under typescripts there is a copy of "And So The Lights Came On": Women and History in Manitoba, which was edited by Davis, as well as copies of photographs used in the publication. There is a bound copy and an unbound copy of "Country Homemakers": a selection of letters and editorials from the woman's page of The Grain Growers Guide 1908-1928 Part I: The Home and the Farm, as well as an unbound copy of Part II: Outside the Home. These were published in 1989.

The final series encompasses Davis' academic career. There is a report card from King's College Hospital in 1945, as well as a 1948 graduation certificate and a testimonial from 1951. There is also literature dealing with both The Lady Eleanor Holles School and King's College Hospital from the 1960s and the 1990s. There are graduation programs and invitations from the University of Winnipeg from 1975 to 1977. As well, there are two University of Winnipeg journals from 1977 and 1979. This series also includes Davis' graduate school essays from both the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba from 1975 to 1981. Finally there is an official transcript from the University of Manitoba from 1988.

There is also a photograph collection (PC 144) which contains 74 slides dealing with Davis' research and teaching of art history. The slides contain examples of art from the 18th to the 20th centuries, with an emphasis on the years 1850 to 1890.

The fonds consists of correspondence, newspaper clippings, personal journals, education material, teaching material including visually impaired material, drafts of articles and manuscripts, published articles, photographs, ephemera, unpublished fiction and non-fiction including plays, book reviews, poetry, material regarding the senior citizen's writing group, Terry King, Foster Parent's Plan, the Assiniboine Slopes Ecological Reserve, and patient rights. Included are several copies of her published books and anthologies in which she was published. The fonds also consists of biographical information about Barton's family members, correspondence from the family between 1951 and 1997, handwritten notes and excerpts from manuscripts, and reviews and correspondence regarding her book "A Slice of Life."
