The accession consists of various materials (sheet music, newspaper clippings, periodical articles, and especially items concerning the Ukrainian Catholic Church and clergy in Canada) collected by members of the Michalchyshyn family. It also contains correspondence, promotional material and postcards concerning several tours of Ukraine and Eastern Europe led by Dr. Hryniuk (1988-1990) as well as newspaper clippings about the Orange Revolution in Ukraine (2004-2005).

A2008-021 consists of Dr. Stella Hryniuk's manuscripts, articles and lecture notes on Galicia and multiculturalism; the material regarding her academic activities as an International Liaison Officer at the University of Manitoba and a facilitator for the projects in Ukraine; the material regarding her involvement with the Ukrainian Canadian Community; and the research material on Galicia.

A2015-122 consists of copies of scholarly articles, graduate student course papers, book reviews, University of Manitoba History department pamphlets, and other materials collected by Stella Hryniuk during and after her years as a graduate student. It also contains copies of her Doctoral Dissertation (University of Manitoba, 1984), the Doctoral dissertation of her partner, Professor Frederick G. Stambrook (University of London, 1960), and a copy of her commemorative book “Holy Family Home: The First 50 Years” (2007). Correspondence concerning Stella Hryniuk’s interest in genealogy, and materials related to her activity in the Ukrainian-Canadian community are also included.

The fonds consists of material relating to the history of Eastern European communities in Manitoba. This includes over 400 photographs, almost 7000 slides, close to 200 contact sheets, close to 3000 negatives, correspondence, maps, research notes, church directories, church inventories, and architectural evaluations of Manitoba Eastern European churches. The collection also includes taped interviews with or about various church artists or architects. Also included in the collection are records related to the research and preparation of the manuscript "Monuments to Faith: Ukrainian Churches in Manitoba," as well as miscellaneous records of the Manitoba Eastern European Heritage Society.

The fonds consists of Stella Hryniuk's material on the Ukrainian Catholic Students Union "Obnova", the University of Manitoba; Andrey Sheptytsky Institute, St. Paul University, Ottawa; St. Vladimir's College, Roblin, Manitoba, and Ukrainian Art and Odessa Theatre posters. This fonds also consists of Michalyshyn Family material regarding St. Joseph's Church and Frederick Stambrook's FIFA and Canadian Soccer Association documents and memorabilia.
