Arthur Meighen fonds

The fonds consists of a 33 1/3 rpm phonograph record of a speech delivered before the Canadian Club of Toronto on February 24, 1936 by Arthur Meighen on the subject of William Shakespeare. It is entitled "The Greatest Englishman of History".

The fonds consists of a published monograph, As Life Unfolds: Memoirs of Les J. Millington. Topics in the autobiography include Millington's early life in England, his immigration to Canada, the creation of his company, Rockford International, his travels to numerous countries in order to export Canadian cattle, and his retirement to Florida and Falcon Lake, Manitoba. The monograph includes several copies of photographs and excerpts from media articles about Les Millington. In the preface, Millington mentions that the autobiography was dictated to his wife, Luvena Millington, and transcribed by Opal Langrell, the author of Yesteryears: Woodlands Municipal Memoirs.

Arthur E. Millward fonds

The fonds consists of two folders of personal correspondence addressed to Millward from prominent Canadian writers Robert Finch and James Reaney. Folder 1 is made up of correspondence from poet and novelist Robert Finch to A.E. Millward, dated between December 1990 and March 1994. Topics include the work performed by a Massey College colleague, Robert Roseberry, in Malawi and Brunei-Darussalam. Folder 2 consists of correspondence from poet/novelist James Reaney to Millward, primarily between 1950 and 1953, but also includes one letter from both 1989 and 1990. Topics include Reaney's writing, life in Winnipeg, and Reaney's travels.

Linda Morra fonds

The fonds consists of Linda Morra's paper entitled "The Representation of French-Canadians in Ralph Connor, The Man from Glengarry". The paper is in part based on research conducted by Linda Morra, with the support of a University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections Hamilton Research Grant, during the summer of 1999. The paper was presented to the Association for Canadian Studies in the United States (ACSUS), in Pittsburgh, on November 19, 1999.

Hilda Morrish fonds

The fonds consists of two series: textual records and photographs. The textual records series is comprised of two letters mounted on cardboard and signed by Dwight D. Eisenhower as Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Force, photocopies of two maps of England and Germany, a four-part typewritten memoir of the donor's war-time experiences, and a partial list providing captions for the photographic series. The photographic series is comprised of 39 monochrome photographs (each 16.5 x 23 cm) taken and printed by the donor. Each photograph is mounted on 29 x 36 cm card-stock on which brief captions have been written in pencil.

Thomas Nevin fonds

The fonds consists of two unpublished novels by Odon L. Ostrowski titled From Berlin to Winnipeg and The Holocaust in Poland: A Novel. The latter manuscript is a description of life during World War II in occupied Poland and in Nazi concentration camps as seen through the eyes of the writer who was, at the time, a Polish forced labourer.

The ledger also includes accounts with many Winnipeg grain families such as Richardson, Sutherland, Armstrong, Rathburn, Kirkwood, Drysdale, Ashdown, and others.

The photograph collection (PC 210) consists of photographs of a 1944 re-enactment of the Bishop Mountain's arrival to the Red River Settlement in 1844. The Most Rev. Philip Carrigton, Archbishop of Quebec, played the role of Bishop Mountain. The fonds also includes a photograph of Ian Park's great-grandfather, W. Aldridge (St. John's College, Art Graduates, 1900), and some newspaper clippings.

The fonds consists of one typescript text entitled, Creation: the story of the creation of the physical universe (part 1) and mankind the being (part 2) over the past ten thousand years. The text is partly in carbon copy including author's manuscript annotations and explanation of colour plates. Fourteen colour photographs of Pratt's original paintings, which illustrate his interpretation of the creation of the physical universe, are included in the text.

Red River Flood collection

The collection consists of an eleven page daily summary of the progress and devastation of the 1950 Red River flood and comparative analysis of other floods compiled by the Manitoba Department of Mines and Natural Resources, Water Resources Branch. It includes river levels in Fargo, Grand Forks, Emerson and Winnipeg, daily weather conditions, and daily summaries of activities.
