Marion Meadmore fonds

The fonds primarily consists of reports, minutes, notes, letters, and finances in relation to the numerous organizations Meadmore was involved with. While the majority of the records were created in Winnipeg, the series ‘Assembly of First Nations’ contains records created throughout Canada. The fonds also includes photographs of an event organized by Kinew Housing Incorporated, “Let`s Rap About A.I.D.S.: Putting the Puzzle Together” board game, and two VHS.

The fonds is divided into sixteen series: Arrowfax Canada Inc.; Kinew Housing Incorporated; Winnipeg Native Club; The Assembly of First Nations; Indian and Métis Friendship Centre; National Indian Brotherhood; Pacemakers’ Courts; Federation of Saskatchewan Indians; Research Materials; Workshops and Conferences; Newspaper Clippings; Photographs; Moving Images; Board Game; Books. The Assembly of First Nations series is further divided into four subseries: Restructure and Renewal Reports; Renewal Commission Hearing Transcripts; Renewal Commission Focus Group; and Other.

William John Hills Collection

The collection primarily consists of photographs of the environment around the Norway House Indian Residential School. Several images taken of individuals on a Curtiss Model F aircraft display the aircraft that was used for the first air mail run to Rossville. The collection also contains a receipt and postcards.

Faculty of Human Ecology fonds

The fonds contains budget reports, Department of Clothing and Textiles testing service contracts, committee reports, Faculty Council minutes, course offerings, student lists, and news clippings. The bulk of the collection covers the period 1960 to 1985. The 2005 accession consists of 1 Beta SP cassette featuring stock footage taken in 1945 on black and white film, approximately 1 minute and 17 seconds long, of the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Home Economics. Students of the Home Economics program can be seen attending lectures, walking about the campus, and engaging in vacuuming, making beds, food preparation, washing and entertaining babies, and eating.

Adolf and Julia Stadelmeir fonds

The fonds contains three series. The first is comprised of personal letters to Julia Stadelmeir from Adolf and Emmie, dating from 10 February 1940 to April 1943, as well as correspondence from various military, government officials and Members of Parliament to Julia Stadelmeir dating from 22 April 1943 to 29 February 1988 detailing her efforts to locate her husband. The second series contains newspaper articles detailing the activities of the No. 2 Tunneling Company of the Royal Canadian Engineers. The third contains various items relating to Adolf’s military service, and 18 envelopes without letters from Julia to Adolf marked “returned as undeliverable.”

Delta Marsh Field Station fonds

Accession A2013-050 has been split into 14 series and 15 sub-series. The records contain photographs, slides, and textual records pertaining to work and life at Delta Marsh Field Station, such as group photos of students, action shots of students working, photos of staff, photos of youth and other groups visiting the station, photos of events, landscapes, plants, wildlife, buildings and roads, and aerial photographs of the Delta Marsh area. The fonds also contains Annual Reports (1969-2004) released by the Field Station.
