The fonds contains all of Charles Gordon's known literary manuscripts, his ministry records, his papers, writings and maps as a chaplain in the Canadian army in World War I, his papers as a labour negotiator in many Winnipeg labour disputes before and after the war, and various personal papers including those as Moderator of the Presbyterian Church. His literary papers consist of original manuscripts, publishers' correspondence, and abundant fan mail. The photographs are mainly of Gordon, the family cottage at Lake of the Woods, and some pictures of his ministry.

The fonds consists of letters from Arthur Stoughton and his wife, Florence Elise Stoughton, to Dr. Elinor F.E. (Frances Elizabeth) Black. The letters pertain to everyday occurrences as well as significant events, such as Black's travels, the births and deaths of friends, and, in particular, Arthur Stoughton's death. Elinor Black's unpublished memoir, The professor and his wife: (The Stoughton Story: a memoir) is also included.

The fonds contains the Tribune research collection (or `morgue' files) as created by the newspaper's staff consisting of personality files and subject folders of clippings from the 1930's to 1980. Many of the subject files have been microfilmed by the Archives for preservation purposes. The microfilm collection totals 167 reels. There are approximately 2,500,000 clippings (a few of the clippings may be from other newspapers such as the Free Press), divided over some 11,000 different subject categories and 60,000 personality folders. Together they provide ready-made collections of people and events in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and abroad. The collection is also well documented pictorially with over 500,000 photographs and negatives. A typewritten alphabetical index to the Tribune fonds is available.

MSS SC 26 contains a copy of Professor Butler's lecture "The Form of the Book and the Shape of the Mind", delivered in 1978 at the Winnipeg Centennial Library as part of the Manitoba Library Event, a press release and a calendar of events for Manitoba Library Event and Children's Book Festival in November 1978. MSS SC 65 consists of a photocopy of Loys Le Roy's pamphlet, "De la Vicissitude des Choses," and a bibliographic history of the first edition prepared by Butler.

The fonds consists of ten audio cassette tapes created by the Business and Professional Women's Club of Winnipeg Oral History project 1990. Each tape contains oral interviews with club members and details their reasons for involvement in the club. Interviewees were all long-standing members of the club and included: Winona Hockley, a retired schoolteacher; Olive Flett, also a schoolteacher; Jenny Kirkness, a Winnipeg accountant and former president of the BPWCW; Jean Miller, a librarian; Ida Fenwick, an accountant and holder of several positions in the club's executive including honourary president; Frances Lovat, a secretary and former member of the club's executive; Mabel E. Kent, a stenographer and former secretary of the club; Jessie Buckingham, a schoolteacher; Irene Grant, the first married female schoolteacher in Manitoba; Marguerite Hargrave, a court reporter and member of several BPWCW committees; Lily Hobbs, a secretary for the federal Department of Agriculture; and Beatrice Deeks, who worked for the federal government's unemployment office and a former second vice-president of the club. Interviews were conducted by Kimberly Kappel, Deanna Mallen, and Carole Vann. The fonds also consists of printed summaries of the interviews, which are arranged chronologically.

Mundie, professor of business administration, and dean of the Asper School of Business who speaks about the Faculty of Management at the University of Manitoba (November 25, 1986); and poet Anne Marriott (1913-1997) who is interviewed at her home in North Vancouver, B.C., (February 14, 1989).

Fonds contains one hockey goaltender stick used by Art Puttee while goalie for the Canadian hockey team (the University of Manitoba Grads) that won the 1931 World Championships in Krynica, Poland. Handwritten on one side of the handle is the text, "Winners of Turnbull Cup (Manitoba Champ), Abbott Cup (Western Canada Champ), Ross Robertson Memorial Cup (Canadian Champ). Played 21 games, won 17, tied 3, lost 1." On the outer edge of the handle is the text, "Total goals - for 113 - against 36." Other side of the handle has Art Puttee's signature. Signatures of other players are partially visiable across other parts of the stick; legible names include Doupe, Murdoch, and Chapman.

Umfang und Inhalt:
Der Nachlass bezieht sich in erster Linie auf die Untersuchungen parapsychischer Erscheinungen, die T.G. und Lillian Hamilton im Zeitraum zwischen 1918 und 1945 vornahmen. Thematisch geht es bei diesen Unterlagen um Klopfen, Hellsehen, Trance-Zustände und -Diagramme, Telekinese, Wachsabdrücke, Glockenzeichen, Nachschriften und Visionen, sowie um teleplasmische Manifestationen. Die Unterlagen weisen eine Vielzahl von Formaten auf: Einklebe-Alben, Teilnehmerlisten und Register von Séancen, Zeugenberichte, automatisches Schreiben, Korrespondenz, Reden und Vorträge, Zeitungsausschnitte, Zeitschriftenaufsätze, Bücher, Fotografien, fotografische Platten (Negative und Positive), Abzüge, Diapositive, Tonbänder, Manuskripte, Reklame im Zusammenhang mit grösseren Veröffentlichungen. Sämtliche fotografischen Abzüge, die auf den Negativ-Platten beruhen, sind bei den schriftlichen Berichten über die durch sie illustrierten Experimente belassen. Mit wenigen Ausnahmen wurden die Negativ-Platten zur Archivierung neu fotografiert und sind damit in der Form von schwarz-weiss Abzügen (glänzend) zugänglich. Eine Sammlung dazugehörender Bücher und Zeitschriften, die sich im Nachlass befanden, wurde als selbständige Bibliothek katalogisiert und zugänglich gemacht.
