Accrual consists of negatives of Lehrman's Islam Gardens Photographs. These were assembled over several years of his visits to India, Pakistan, Spain, Morocco, Algeria, Italy, Iran, Egypt and S. Russia. Some, but not all, were printed in his book Earthly Paradise - Garden and Courtyard in the World of Islam (London: Thames and Hudson, 1980)

The fonds consists of 895 items, most of the materials are photocopies of articles, documents, correspondences, photo groups or production stills that have been acquired from various magazines, newspapers, books, other film buffs. The vast majority of the collection relates to “Lost Horizon”, with a much smaller focus on the writer of the novel, James Hilton, and the star of the film Ronald Colman and some on film producer Frank Capra. The fonds is divided into the series Correspondences about the “Lost Horizon”, “Lost Horizon” biographies about James Hilton and Ronald Colman, "Lost Horizon” production photos, The "Lost Horizon" articles series contains newspaper, magazine and journal articles, as well as book excerpts, related to various "Lost Horizon" subjects, such as production, reception, cast and crew biographies and articles discussing James Hiltons other works. The visual media related to “Lost Horizon” has films based on other works by James Hilton or starring Ronald Colman, there is also information on Frank Capra’s life and the American film institute awards ceremony from 1984 that Capra won an award from. The audio associated to “Lost Horizon” series contains various primary sources such as interviews, theatre programs, soundtracks, prayers, and news reports. The next series contain photographs of “Lost Horizon”, production photos – pictures taken of the production processes or of members of the production crew, there is also stills taken of the and slides that were the originals for the stills from the movie. These slides also contain other stills from the movie along with production photos, advertising and publicity stills. All oversized items requiring larger boxes are included in the oversized items series.

The fonds consists of Robert and Shirley Klymasz correspondence, 1995-2007, various cultural events and research projects; Shirley Klymasz biographical info and her art work.

In addition to documents of biographical interest, the present accession contains selections from Klymasz’s correspondence (including e-mails); articles, reviews and letters submitted by Klymasz and published in scholarly journals and in newspapers, as well as one conference paper; research materials on the poets included in Winnipeg Papers #7, “From the Heart: The Best Anthology of Canadian Poetry in Ukrainian,” compiled by Klymasz for the CUCS at the University of Manitoba, as well as two copies of the anthology; and a selection of concert programs, annual reports, and miscellaneous newspaper and periodical issues collected by Klymasz.

In addition to documents, photographs, audio-visual materials, and artefacts of biographical interest, the present accession contains selections from Klymasz’s correspondence (including e-mails); research materials, primarily newspaper clippings, on the Canadian Museum for Human Rights for Klymasz'sconference paper "The Museum as Monument and the Architect as Museum-Maker"; and a selection of miscellaneous newspaper and periodical issues collected by Klymasz.

In addition to correspondence with friends and colleagues (2004-2017), the accession contains biographical material, including photos, slides, and transparencies of Klymasz, his immediate family, his Ukrainian relatives, and his North American colleagues. It also contains articles by fellow ethnographers, two books by Klymasz’s Ukrainian relative, the writer Mykola Dubas, and miscellaneous materials concerning the Ukrainian-Canadian community.

Some of the more notable items include a tintype photograph of Peter O’Hare and a small leather pouch that John O’Hare used to hold gold nuggets during the Yukon Gold Rush.

Accession consists of daily journals kept by Chartrand between 1984 and 2012, material relating to Chartrand's participation in the Aboriginal Justice Implementation Commission (AJIC), the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples (RCAP), the Working Group on the UN Draft Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (WGDD, DRIP), and the Organization of American States (OAS). It also contains reference material used by Chartrand, including legal decisions, grey literature, student papers, and other supporting documents

This accession consists of various legal and financial documents reflecting the Association.

The fonds consist of a small manuscript collection (MSS 268) containing a U.G.G. operation manual for elevator managers. The large photo collection (PC 226) contains photographs, slides, and slide scans of nearly every Agricore/U.G.G. elevator site throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta

Finally, the collection includes 1546 slides, 676 photographs, 31 sheets of negatives, 10 VHS tapes, 19 audiocassette tapes, 1 DVD, and 2 CDs, most of which document the activities (including annual meetings) of United Grain Growers Ltd.

Simma Holt's collection is arranged under the main series of personal, publications, and politics. Under the series heading of publications, the papers are organized according to her four books: Terror in the Name of God , Sex and the Teen Age Revolution , The Devil's Butler , and The Other Mrs. Diefenbaker . In addition, there are sub-series for Holt's work as a journalist for the Sun and her work as a lecturer and free-lance columnist.

One of the most important holdings under the sub-series of journalism is a bound volume containing the complete series of The Vancouver Express , the newspaper that began with the lockout of Pacific Press employees on February 21, 1970 and ended when they returned to their jobs on May 15, 1970.

Of the four books published by Holt, Terror in the Name of God is the richest source of documents and photographs. The collection contains letters and records by early Freedomite leaders dating back to the 1920s. Holt went to Ottawa to research Freedomite origins; while there the police gave her access to secret files. Of the photographs, Holt wrote: "So fantastic and bizarre have been the antics of the Sons of Freedom Doukhobors in Canada that photographers have come from across the country and around the world to capture on film the fragments of their strange way of life." The photograph collection contains an album of over five-hundred pictures pertaining to the history of the Doukhobors. In addition, there are approximately 1,000 photos in this collection. These photos were acquired from the RCMP in Nelson B.C., the Vancouver Sun's photographer George Diack, former Nelson freelancer for CBC and the Sun Alice Jane Sloan, and former Nelson News photographer Bob Blackmore. The manuscript collection contains records of Doukhobor trials regarding bombings and burnings in B.C. in 1953, 1958, and 1962.

Holt's tape collection includes many interviews that pertain to The Other Mrs. Diefenbaker . Holt interviewed Edna's relatives as well as many of Diefenbaker's colleagues in parliament such as T.C. Douglas, Paul Martin, and Senator David Walker. She also interviewed Judge Roy Hall about the Atherton case which Diefenbaker successfully defended. Also in the tape collection are telephone conversations of the Satan's Angels motorcycle gang, taped by the police and interviews with Donna, the main character in The Devil's Butler .

In addition to material pertaining to her four books, Holt's collection includes an unpublished manuscript called "Divorce Lawyer," a biography of Neil Fleischman. In the tape collection are eighteen interviews with Hugh Pickett, Canada's best known impresario who became the owner and head of Famous Artists in Vancouver. Holt and Pickett had plans to publish a book using the taped interviews.

Both Terror in the Name of God and The Other Mrs. Diefenbaker evolved through many drafts and revisions. These edited drafts are also in Holt's collection.

During Holt's five year stint in politics, she maintained a voluminous correspondence. Unedited copies of letters written as a member of parliament between July 1974 and June 1979 are also in the collection.

The accession consists of documents and photos concerning the emigration of the Gerus family from western Ukraine (then part of Poland) to Canada, via Displaced Persons camps in the British zone of occupied Germany, in 1944-1950, as well as a number of scholarly articles on Russian History published by American academics between 1951 and 1969.

The fonds contains 19 hours of 36 taped documentaries and interviews of Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC.) radio shows by David Rabinovitch dating from May 1970 to May 1973. The lengths of each production vary from 15 minute segments to 30 and 60 minute documentary programs. The interviews deal with then-current cultural issues in Canada and the United States ranging from anti-war demonstrations, race relations, drugs, the French community in Manitoba, and many others. In addition to David Rabinovitch’s interviews the fonds contains CBC archived radio programs from 1927, 1942, 1949 and 1953 on topics such as Canada’s Jubilee, Road to Dominion, Davidson Dunton, and Hear Canada Grow, respectively.
