The fonds contains three series. The first is comprised of personal letters to Julia Stadelmeir from Adolf and Emmie, dating from 10 February 1940 to April 1943, as well as correspondence from various military, government officials and Members of Parliament to Julia Stadelmeir dating from 22 April 1943 to 29 February 1988 detailing her efforts to locate her husband. The second series contains newspaper articles detailing the activities of the No. 2 Tunneling Company of the Royal Canadian Engineers. The third contains various items relating to Adolf’s military service, and 18 envelopes without letters from Julia to Adolf marked “returned as undeliverable.”

The fonds consists of 10 life stories of varying length written in Tanya Lester's "Writing Your life Story" class at the Stradbrook Senior Centre. The life stories chronicle a variety of topics including left-wing political life in the 1930s, the difficulties of buying a house during the depression and the grief caused by the loss of a spouse. All narratives concern Manitoba and range chronologically from 1920-1994. The fonds also includes two of Tanya Lester's syllabi outlining the structure of the course.

The fonds is divided into nine series: administrative material, papers and presentations given by AIM co-investigators at various national and international conferences, material relating to the 1996 AIM interviews, material relating to the National Evaluation of the Cost-Effectiveness of Home Care, material relating to the 2001 AIM interviews, material relating to the 2005 and 2006 AIM interviews, material relating to the study’s involvement in international research on aging, publications of the study, including several theses, and a series of 28 posters used in presentations. Two audio cassette tapes containing recordings of Betty Havens speaking at conferences are included in Tc 140, and a 3.5-inch floppy diskette containing material relating to a diabetes literature review is included in El 10.

Agricore was formed on November 1, 1998, and ceased to exist only three years later with the creation of Agricore United on November 1, 2001. The fonds includes materials compiled by the two companies that merged to form Agricore, Alberta Wheat Pool (AWP) and Manitoba Pool Elevators (MPE). AWP and MPE materials include annual reports, policy reports, and policy manuals. However, the majority of the materials concern the creation and functioning of Agricore as a company during the three years it existed. Materials include annual reports, Agricore publications, policy manuals, news clippings related to Agricore, and other administrative materials that offer a glimpse into the day-to-day operations of one of Western Canada’s largest agribusinesses. In addition to traditional textual materials, the fonds includes a small collection of Agricore maps, assorted Agricore ephemera, and Agricore video and audiocassettes.

The photograph collection (PC 156) consists of 31 videotapes relating to Agricore and agricultural issues. Each videocassette constitutes its own sub-series.

The Agricore Cooperative Ltd. Tape Collection (TC 102) consists of 47 cassettes compiled by Agricore in the course of operations during the three years of its existence. Cassettes include recordings of media reports about Agricore and agriculture, Agricore communications to employees, Agricore conference calls, Agricore Annual meetings, Agricore radio ads, and other miscellaneous recordings.

MC 6 consists of 6 maps relating to Agricore. The maps have been divided into two sub-series, Manitoba Pool Elevator maps and Agricore maps.

The 2003 accession (A03- 04) consists of six ledger books used by United Grain Growers (UGG) in the management of their property in the three Prairie Provinces. The ledgers are organized by province and locations are organized alphabetically. Entries focus on the payment of mortgages and the cost of repairs and improvements.

The first 2007 and 2008 accessions (A07-46, A08-22, and A08.72) consist of a small manuscript collection (MSS 268) containing a UGG operation manual for elevator managers, operating manuals for various grain elevator machinery, blueprints, and material relating to shares, allotments, dividends, bonds, and ledgers. The large photo collection (PC 226) contains photographs, slides, and slide scans of nearly every Agricore/UGG elevator site throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta, six VHS video cassettes of the United Grain Growers Video Magazine, and five sheets of grower and producer lists. In total, the photograph collection consists of 1773 blueprint slides, 8758 slides, 1250 photographs, 59 CDs featuring slide shows, and the six aforementioned video cassettes. The map collection (MC 25) holds various blueprints of grain elevators and their components. In total, the map collection consists of 351 blueprints.

The second 2007 accession (A07-68) contains publications and financial records of the United Grain Growers Ltd., as well as some annual reports of Public Press Ltd., a subsidiary of U.G.G.

The first 2009 accession (A09-51) consists of material collected by the United Grain Growers library. Following the 2001 merger of UGG and Agricore, the library was donated, along with other archival material, to the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections. The collection has been divided into series and sub-series, and includes records related to acts, by-laws, and amendments (of federal, international, and private bodies) and records about UGG personnel. It includes various publications (including those of the UGG, the federal government, the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, Manitoba Pool Elevators, and the Canadian Wheat Board).

The A09-51 accession also includes records relating to various commissions and inquiries, including the Royal Commission on Railway Transportation in Canada and the Royal Commission on Transportation, as well as various submissions of the UGG to different commissions and inquiries. The collection contains bound copies of UGG annual reports and UGG News; various reports and submissions by the UGG and by other private and government bodies; and a large series of records related to transportation, including records related to the Western Grain Transportation Act, the Crow Benefit (Crow's Nest Agreement), the Producer Payment Panel, and the Gilson Report.
Finally, the A.09-51 collection includes 1546 slides, 676 photographs, 31 sheets of negatives, 10 VHS tapes, 19 audio cassette tapes, 1 DVD, and 2 CDs, most of which document the activities (including annual meetings) of United Grain Growers Ltd.

The second 2009 accession (A09-58) consists of memoranda, correspondence, and other materials relating to the election, estate shares, charter, and by-laws of the United Grain Growers Board of Directors; correspondence and materials relating to various UGG-related monographs and publications (including "T.A. Crerar: A Political Life" by J.E. Rea, and "The First Fifty Years" and "I Was There" by R.D. Colquette, UGG News, and UGG Annual Catalogs); reports and memoranda relating to contracts with the Canadian Wheat Board; transcripts, minutes, delegate reports, and resolutions of annual meetings; materials relating to UGG work with liaison organizations and organizations in support of co-operative initiatives; contracts and by-laws relating to UGG subsidiaries, including United Feeds Ltd., Public Press Ltd., and Grain Growers Export Co. Ltd.; publications and correspondence relating to UGG 50th, 75th, and 80th anniversaries; stock certificates and shareholder cards; newspaper clippings; and financial ledgers.

The A09-58 accession also contains a slide collection showcasing photos of various grain elevators, terminals, and technology, as well as historic photos related to agriculture and farm cooperatives.
Finally, the A.09-58 accession features five audio recordings of UGG radio shows and promotional material.

The 2011 accession (A11-57) consists of a UGG financial ledger from the years 1919 to 1935.

The 2012 accession (A12-101) consists of a few textual records, and photographs of grain elevators in Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan.

The 2013 (A13-53) accession donated by Viterra consists of a large manuscript collection dominated mainly by U.G.G records. These include annual members meetings, news releases, press clippings, and bound copies of transcripts; U.G.G local annual meeting reports as well as correspondence within local town boards; Agricore United annual members meetings, spring update newsletters, and resolutions committees; Agricore United advisory group reports, cards/plaques and local board grants; material relating to U.G.G. local boards including meetings, grants, expenses, local board handbooks, local board histories and changes to or re-organization of local boards. A small portion of the collection is made up of Agricore Cooperative meetings, delegate newsletters/updates, district advisory committees and communications; files dedicated to the U.G.G/Agricore Cooperative merger are included; and lastly, various U.G.G research materials such as credit vouchers, U.G.G news, grain publications, share dividends, U.G.G acts, by-laws and charters, resolutions and station header file listings. In total, the photograph collection consists of 24 slides, 24 VHS cassettes, 11 digital camcorder tapes, 4 DVCAM tapes, and 8 DVDs. The TC collection is made up of 73 audio cassettes. The map collection includes 5 maps, consisting of U.G.G operating elevator points and prairie grain handling sites as well as Agricore United grain and CPS facilities. Lastly, the EL collection inludes a Saskatchewan Wheat Pool data cartridge, Agricore United floppy disk and 10 CD's.

1998-031 is comprised of glass lantern slides that Buller used for lectures and teaching.

2004-025 contains personal and professional correspondence of Dr. Buller’s. It also contains hand painted wall charts created by and under the direction of Buller for use in his classes and lectures.

2004-096 contains numerous objects used for scientific experiments and imaging by Dr. Buller. There are also numerous glass lantern slides which he used for lectures and teaching.

2005-095 is comprised of glass lantern slides that Buller used for lectures and teaching.

2007-062 contains an array of photographs, illustrations, and manuscripts relating to Buller’s research and publications. It also includes many of Buller’s notebooks from his own education at Mason Science College.

2008-062 contains personal correspondence of Buller’s with various parties, mainly from the early 1900s.

2013-113 one card catalogue by Office Specialty Manufacturing Company limited.

2013-134 involves Buller’s cremation and his remains. The urn is enclosed in the Tyndall stone monument in front of the Buller Biological Laboratories at the University of Manitoba Fort Garry campus. The plaque in this accession was previously installed at the Cereal Research Centre where Buller’s remains were held.

2013-143 consists of a wide range of ephemera and documents from Buller. It includes attendee pins and luggage tags as well as several maps, correspondence and drafts relating to Fungi of Manitoba, and Buller’s applications for several teaching positions from the early 1900s.

2014-003 consists primarily of lithographed wall charts purchased by Buller for teaching during his tenure at the University. There are also court records from a real estate dispute and a poem.

2014-120 consists of lantern slides which Buller used for his lectures and presentations.

The collection consists of several hundred research note cards with collected data on the origin and location of place names to settlements, townships, lakes, rivers, forts, islands, creeks, and other geographical sites in Manitoba.

A separate set of note cards provides English translations to many of the Indian names. Some publications on Manitoba place names are included in the collection as well as a few of the writer's own historical essays on Manitoba sites and history. The collection also includes the author's biographical essay on Arnold Brigden.

The A02-41 accession of the Albert D. Cohen fonds consists of 4 series: International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award 1983-2002, Books 1985, 2002, Photograph Collection (PC 160) 1987-2000, and Electronic Records (EL 2), 1985-1990. The first series consists of records relating to the University of Manitoba's Distinguished Entrepreneur Award (IDEA). This includes materials relating to the coordination of the award and the annual IDEA dinner. The Books series contains two books written by Cohen. The Photograph Collection comprises 118 photographs and 29 video-cassettes pertaining to the IDEA dinner. 6 of the 29 IDEA dinner videos were digitized and placed in EL 2.

The 2015-078 accrual of the Albert D. Cohen fonds consists of 8 series: Biographical Information and Personal Correspondence; Corporate Entities; Awards; Community and Professional Involvement; Manuscripts and Publishing; Personal Interest; Travel Memorabilia; Photographic Records

The first series consists of records relating to biographical information compiled by Albert Cohen tracing his family ancestry immigrating from Europe and contains records documenting successive generations including Cohen's immediate family and grandchildren. The series also contains a few of Cohen's day planners and personal correspondence generated by Cohen and his family and friends.

The second series contains records created by corporate entities related to General Distributors Ltd. (GDL) and its successor Gendis Inc. The corporate entities are separated into subseries that trace the history of the company relating to the early operations of General Distributors Ltd., its partnership with Tokyo Tsushin Kogyo Ltd. later the Sony Corporation, The Frawley Corporation (Paper Mate), and Gillette Corporation. Subseries also include records created by GDL and Gendis Inc. relating to the purchasing of Metropolitan Stores of Canada Ltd., Greenberg stores, and creation and branching of SAAN stores. Following subseries deal with GDL and Gendis Inc.'s acquisition and ventures in petroleum interests. Other professional activities related to Cohen are also included in the subseries like professional correspondence, publicity, invitations, business research, and litigation.

The third series documents Cohen receiving local and national awards relating to his entrepreneurial success and community involvement including Man of the Year, the Canadian Business Hall of Fame award, and Member and later Officer of the Order of Canada with certificates, photographs, and related records.

The fourth series compiles Cohen's committee and professional involvement with medical and academic committees in Winnipeg, club membership with The Manitoba Club, his extensive work in planning International Distinguished Entrepreneurship Award (I.D.E.A.) ceremonies and numerous conference attendance records accompanied by speech drafts.

The fifth series contains research notes, drafts, manuscripts, correspondence, and related publishing records pertaining to Cohen's five books including The Entrepreneurs: The Story of Gendis Inc., The Triangle of Success: The Gendis/Saan Story, The Story of SAAN, I.D.E.A., and Reminiscences of an Entrepreneur - How Sony came to Canada and then to the World in 1955.

The sixth series relates to Cohen's personal interest in golfing, auctioning personal correspondence of Ian Fleming and donating proceeds to charity, and film and screenplay research.

The seventh series consists of various booklets and brochures from airlines, tourist destinations, and hotels collected by Cohen during his international trips.
