Biographical history
Dr. Guy Richard Bisby was professor of Botany in the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Manitoba.
Custodial history
The fonds was donated to University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections by Gloria Kelleker in 1980.
Scope and content
The collection contains correspondence on the classification of Manitoba fungi dating 1920-1949. Most of the letters to Bisby are from Canadian, American, and British mycologists commenting on specimens that he had sent them.
