Gayle Carruthers donated items to the University of Manitoba Archives & Special Collections that belonged to her brother, Donald Carruthers in 2002. The sports artifacts in this collection were awarded to Donald Carruthers in 1940 and 1941 for his athletic excellence. Carrruthers was shot down serving his country in the Second World War in 1942.
